If management were too communicative, they might feel obliged to provide day-by-day updates of the drilling - which would mean problems would be announced to the market before they could be addressed. The way things are now, with reports every two weeks, problems can be reported as "problems solved", and there's no adverse effect on the share price. The recent problem with the bottom assembly unit is a case in point. If that had been announced as it happened, it might have knocked 50c off the share price.
