Personally I don't think this has any affect on the deal being bashed out between Gecamines and Anvil. This deal was for Gecamines to supply copper to the MCM smelter. We already know that Gecamines is in trouble, which is why it is divesting assets to companies like Anvil, so it is not suprising that the MCM smelter is looking elsewhere for more reliable supplies. The deal between AVM and Gecamines is reportedly for AVM to take over some of the Gecamines properties and as such is a completely different scenario.
