We welcome your first submission to the Intec Investor Q&A Forum, and thank you for your support.

There are a couple of issues in your submission. Firstly, while we are wholly behind the long-term benefits that any changes in Government regulation might bring about, our technology must stand on its own merits. As the NSW boom-bust cycle in the home solar energy market clearly shows, clean technologies also need to be underpinned by a compelling inherent economic argument, rather than the more fickle (and very slow) effects of government regulation.

Your point in regard to public awareness and the maintstream media is well received. We certainly agree that it would be great if Intec's technology were able to achieve greater traction in this area. However, this traction is extremely difficult. We might hope to gain some minor level of reporting on commencement of the Stage 3 SPL Recycling project, as example, but meaningful reporting in key national media is beyond the reach of most small technology companies, even where those companies are supported the highly-paid services of well-connected PR firms (for which Intec has no budget). Beyond all of the standard public awareness challenges applicable to any small company, our work in recycling metals (and thereby preventing metal ecotoxicity) is not the area that is likely to be covered in the mainstream media, with technologies relating to the carbon dioxide debate dominating the very little available space.

In short, yours is a great idea in principle, an idea with which we wholly agree but have no practical way of translating into direct outcomes. In the era of climate change debate, metals just aren't 'sexy', and the mainstream media aren't interested.
