played at optus oval today. lonergan bags 5 in the third quarter to seal the game. varcoe plays with dash. henry playfair stuck his sticky fingers up to grab loads of backline marks. charlie gardiner seemed to play mostly in the centre which was a surprise. he did some good work. the crowd went home happy. except some nutter security guard who tackling one spectator after the game for running onto the field. only trouble was he was one of a mob of 1000 people (including myself running like a spring chicken) sprinting onto the paddock at the same time. the crowd hissed. the police tried to arrest him. the crowd booed. and then sense prevailed & he was freed. the crowd roared approval that injustice was righted. lonergan is man of the match. he was brilliant. the cats victorious in their last day in september...........
