he Queensland headquarters of childcare group Goodstart Early Learning has been shuttered for two weeks after an office-based staff member tested positive for COVID-19, forcing a number of others into self-isolation.

The staff member had recently returned from overseas and worked in an administrative role at the Murarrie site not connected to any childcare centres, the company said in a statement Monday.

“They are currently well and under medical supervision,” the statement said.

“We have a number of other staff self-isolating due to the confirmed case.

“As an extra precautionary measure we are closing our Brisbane head office for two weeks. We have a number of preventative and proactive measures in place in all our state-based offices as well as in all our centres.”
