A true story...

One of my colleagues in the 90s went on a 1 mth assignment in rural China. At the meal table, some meat dishes came out and looked tasty. My colleague asked one of the locals what the dishes were..”meat meat.” Said the local. My colleague ate it and said it was tasty. Later, he realised it wasn’t the meat he was akin to and vomited it all out.

At the next meal, he made it his mission to pinpoint exactly what meat was in the cooked dishes...and to avoid at all cost (if not the pork/beef/chicken/duck variety).

There u have it...meat ain’t meat....same same but different...
