Tales from the Coast with Robson Green: Outer Hebrides
    -
Episode 2/4 of Tales from the Coast with Robson Green. First aired 14 Feb. 2017. Robson visits the wild and remote coastline of the Outer Hebrides in north-west Scotland. He discovers how an unpredictable climate and volatile weather gives this group of islands an identity and way of life all of their own. At the ancient village of Gearrannan, Robson tries his hand at weaving Harris tweed in a traditional crofters blackhouse. On the Isle of Lewis, he goes snorkelling for sugar kelp - which is used to flavour the local gin. He also encounters Britains largest bird of prey, the white-tailed sea eagle. Robson camps out on one of Britains most beautiful beaches at Luskentyre, and on the Isle of Barra, he helps out at the airport where the beach doubles as the runway.
