thanks Macka. very informative article - like RNAi 101. the comments align with Rossi and Carl June comments regarding the CoH HIV trial. It's not so much the therapeutic action to resolve, that appears sorted, it's the safe level of delivery in sufficient quantities.
on that, here's another approach to safely deliver shRNA into stem cells to cure HIV. Uses a 'foamy virus' which are apparently quite safe. Washington State Uni have just recieved a $1.6M grant extension from NIH. This is work that came out of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Centre
