i think the tug boat was used as a standby/supply vessel, its not uncommon on my platform that the supply vessel cant get into the rig to bunker diesel or drinking water or drilling chems so our standby vessel which is also equipped to supply us with water and diesel but in alot less capacity comes in.

last time this happened though crane man dropped the wrong hose, the derp, nearly contaminated our water supply. thank god for double blocks!!!

supply vessel was more likely transporting the 600m of drillstring tbh.
