The various previous announcements such as the MOUs with LCM and VAC I viewed as "bricks in the wall" towards the goal of commercialisation.
However the completion and publication of the Feasibility Study is a MILESTONE in my view.
This is the document with the detail capable of underwriting the basis of provision of grants from Govt and funding from debt providers, and also equity from Investors and J/V partners.
Importantly when funding partners analyze the FS, they can also review the actual processes in play at the Demo plant. ie see the process in operation.
It was my view that whilst the FS was unpublished, that IXR had already provided Govt parties (and probably other potential funders) with details prepared by the FS consultants - and IXR recently confirmed that was the case.
So these Govt partners are probably already well into the consideration stage.
In these ASX announcement, and the videos, IXR keeps referring to Govt grants - and investors. They keep referring to funding via APC ---> so IMHO funding from that avenue is quite probable.
I reckon we will see a mix of source of funds. A fixed Grant, maybe some equity) could be in any form such as a JV party taking a share in the Belfast project, and project funding ie non-recourse -> and equity in IXR be-it new equity via Placement and/or underwritten R/Issue. Almost certainly IXR will be required to contribute some "hurt" money - thats how these deals work.
For sure - if IXR is required to provide equity into a deal, then it will be on the back of a funding package - because IXR simply will not raise funds based on the current share price - it will be on the back of very significant news.
Also note IXR very clear message about global expansion of the Belfast project. It seems they were very insistent that global expansion was coming. They specifically mentioned USA - which would be a natural addition.
2025 will be an exciting year.
