It looks like Trump's big hike in tariffs for REE's out of China might have the groundbreaking effect of neutralising China's predatory pricing of REEs. A tariff of 50% may well cause US manufacturers to look to developing and producing magnets etc in the US, and dis-incentivise the import of REE from China.

Now along comes Trump...lots and lots of talk about RE's.

He has been briefed and understands their critical role in emerging tech, particularly in defence.

So far, post election, he has been a man of action.

Let's see if this trend continues, and lets hope this action extends to Re's, their supply chains and decoupling from China's dominance.
