    Delightful.

The quoted Rare Earth article of 18th April is an elegantly witty but excoriating description of the US administration.
It reveals their discovery of yet another -ium.
    Pandemonium.

For Australia, with around a dozen miners, a promised stockpile is one thing, but a firm grip on the rapid development of a full cycle and international REE industry should be an urgent bipartisan political objective.

Funded by 'guided super' or using AUKUS funds for constructive purposes and grants from progressive, renewables aware and forward-thinking overseas governments.

Both Turnbull and Keating, and seemingly a majority of Australians, agree that Morrison's AUKUS is plain daft.
Richard Marles needs to listen and not wait for the Canberra defence fossils to notice the tectonic shifts in the 'materiality' of critical metals and the growing dominance of our region.

Idealistically, we could combine with China and Canada and ban the use of REEs in armaments.
With ANZAC Day and the recent example of the late Pope, such a move could remind us that we are an inherently co-operative and kind species.
