For me, that's the biggest concern I have about IXR: it's future appears very dependent upon government support. I'm a huge renewables fan, which is why I initially bought into IXR. Indeed, IXR was one of the first companies I bought (and still hold). But it has also become a vary salient lesson for me about noise to signal ratios and viability when purchasing shares. As for viability, for all Trump's raucouness and years of concern prior to him, western REE companies are still not prospering yet... and IXRs share price is reflective of that. This is not to say prices won't improve, but if we're being objective here, even the alleged cheerleaders here have implied the importance of government support to stay viable. Such circumstances have become a red flag to me.... how well did gov support go in the end for the Australian car industry? At some stage, even with loved ones, life support gets shut off. Hey, I have a pretty strong interest in seeing IXR thrive, because at the very least, I would like my once naive stake in the company back, or better, to make a substantial profit. However, another thing in life I've learnt in life is that: if you wish into one hand and poop into the other, you know which one fills faster... and neither situation is particularly salubrious. Take from that what you will.
