The Players

Europe currently imports, 80-90% of its rare earth magnets and alloys from China, Ionicʼs technology enables the UK and EU to recycle magnets from wind turbines, EVs, and electronics, turning waste into high-purity REOs, LCMʼs expansion in France (Lacq and UK Cheshire) ensures that these REOs are converted into alloys/metals within Europe, not shipped to Asia.

LCM VAC Ionic partnership: Joint government grants to scale recycling, swarf recovery,and new alloy production, EMR, Ionic MOU, UKʼs largest EOL magnet recycling ecosystem, with EMRʼs 150+ sites feeding into Ionicʼs Belfast plant. Supply chain resilience: If Chinese supply is disrupted, these companies can provide the only local source of separated REOs, alloys, and finished magnets.
