    1. BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) and Finep (Innovation Agency) launched a US$1.0B public call in 2025 for business plans in critical minerals, supporting everything from exploration to processing and manufacturing (including battery cells and permanent magnets)

    2. The Critical Minerals Fund R$1 billion, US$200M) was established in 2024 to support junior and mid-tier companies in exploration, development, and mine implementation

    3. Tax incentives and debentures for strategic minerals projects were introduced, making Brazil more competitive for both domestic and foreign investors, like we have here in Australia

Brazil is now one of the most active countries globally in building a policy, investment, and industrial ecosystem for critical and strategic minerals—on par with the UK and EU. The coordinated efforts across ministries, BNDES, Finep, IBRAM, and the private sector are creating a robust framework for sustainable, value-added mineral supply chains. This environment is highly supportive for ventures like Viridion and IXR, which are bringing rare earth recycling and downstream magnet manufacturing to Brazil for the first time.

Looking very Good in Brazil, Big Government support
