Exactly. China's stratigic posturing in manufacturing and export has had incredible foresight and stamina, allowing them to play the long game knowing full well that they supply critcal manufacturing that cannot easily and immediately be replaced in the West, inclusive of military critical materials. Their economic and military scholars are well versed in Western history as much as their own, and have never forgotten the various humiliations put up on them. So, too, are they well aware of modern Western strategies of sanctions, embargo, and containment, as well as other forms of gunboat diplomacy. While its well known that they've increased their bluewater navy, China long ago developed assymmetrical warfare methodologies to stand off any advance from antagonistic near peers. Interestingly, it would appear Trump may have been outplayed in recent tarrif tussles, eventually scoring home goals in developing circumspection from US allies, as well as the nickname at home of TACO - Trump Again Chickens Out. If that other waning superpower, England, wishes to regain some manufacturing status, it would do well to pull their finger out and whack up way more money than they're currently dragging their feet over before Brazil or some other BRICS nation creates a viable China alternative.
