Extract only from Todays AFR:
The point here is that actual, and genuine shareholders in IXR are subjected to a concentrated and co-ordinated barrage of mis-information by a select group of posters who declare they are not shareholders, and now a new poster who declares as a shareholder - but who is now actively disparaging IXR.
What is the attraction? Why spend so much time on a stock in which they have no financial interest?
The question we need to consider, is whether these posters are conflicted - and whether they have a common goal?
Just as the article below discusses a ramping motive in the Auric example - it equally applies to a downramping motive pursued by any competitor in a similar industry.
Who for example, would benefit from IXR being unable to raise funds to enable IXR to wean industry participants away from needing to rely on REE sourced from China??
It just shows that we need to take care in believing what we read.
******************************************
"...West Australian gold producer Auric Mining has long been spruiked on HotCopper – a platform popular with day traders and sharemarket speculators – by users known as GoldatWidgie and Lenin.
But the online pseudonyms – which have performed a double act by praising each other’s posts and the ASX-listed group – are the creation of Ross Dunkley, Auric’s head of investor relations, the miner confirmed.
Dunkley has posted more than 300 times on HotCopper as either GoldatWidgie or Lenin. After being contacted by The Australian Financial Review, Dunkley confirmed he was both users. “You are not required to disclose your identity [on HotCopper] nor limit yourself to one identity. I suspect that many have more than one handle,” he wrote on HotCopper."
