    Agreed. As you suggest about Britain "pull(ing) their finger out," I think there are certain optics in that which they should consider if they wish to signal to other tech opportunities that Britain is at the frontline of future technologies and, ergo, investment.
    Sure, due diligence on behalf of the taxpayer is important, but pulling the piss on leadership not so much. Britain actually does have a good tech hub so it'd be shocking if Brazil became seen as the go to place for innovation over them. And I'm sure the authorities in Brazil would encourage been seen as the Latino Silicon Valley of applied advanced technologies.
