There’s only one demonstration plant available for testing these samples—and that’s the Belfast facility, which can probably be equipped to process and refine MREC samples into separated rare earth oxides (REOs). Just to be clear, this is my personal view: as I mentioned earlier, IXR has invested approximately $2.5 million in additional R&D activities at the Belfast Demonstration Plant during this financial year. We already have a fully scoped commercial plant for magnet recycling, so most of that work is done; what’s really needed now is a dedicated facility for MREC processing.
