I thought the "in bold" remarks below that you made were an interesting way to look at the potential arising from recycling.

) The mine (Makuutu) - maybe others in the future
2) Refinery/Separation (either as a toll processor or from a licensing perspective - ionictech)
3) Magnet Recycling

Hopefully get commercialisation on the second point shortly, and then again the third to follow.
if you've got 2 and 3 as a pathway you're de-coupled/de-risked from the REO price as you're now effectively a value add. You slap a 20% margin ontop of your input costs - the REO price and on sell.


W2 says:
I think that most investors will understand the possibilities they see in the RE world and that IXR are developing two very discreet businesses which are not at all dependent on each other.  There is no reason why they cannot  both co exist  and both be very successful in the the fullness of time.

It is very clear that there is an immediate unfilled gap in the market for REs that can be partly filled by recycling spent items like batteries and wind turbine parts and countless other RE rich components that are currently being thrown away.

So what does the future hold for IXR?
IXR is now attempting to prove beyond doubt that they can scale up their recycling business completely independent of the program underway at Makuutu in Uganda.  I would imagine that with the research work that has been done todate in Belfast over many years along with the current scaled up project in Belfast to process 40kgs of spent material, the company is making a bold or determined step to prove up the process at a higher scale than done previously.  If successful this will be a major company making achievement.  What we dont currently know is how much more additional research and additional trials will be required before IXR can build an even bigger recycling processing centre that can process large, commercial quantities of repurposed RE material.

Should be a fascinating 6-12 months ahead and just maybe,..... RE prices are turning up again
