Consolidation is not required, but more importantly, it is not a good idea. This very rarely adds any benefit in my experience. What matters is the steady ticking of boxes that are being done. Patience is key to this creating real value,
unfortunately, most people these days want immediate gratification and lack the "doing nothing is doing something" understanding, IMO....
