That's the talk for the politics of getting in, the UK having a mostly right-wing press whose one main angle is Labours past years ago spending record. Starmer understood this fully and knew he needed to pre empt this vulnerability. The financial City of London is btw pro Labour as it sees that the stability it brings of a large majority will mean things can finally get done after years of Tory self chaos.
They're only really allinged closely to Tory policy if you're of the old left persuasion, which this new lot are definitely not, but i get your point.
