I refer to them as queue jumpers. People who don't mind pushing in front of other people. There are people waiting to legitimately sell at the higher price, but these butt holes want to snap up those on offer at that higher price, so before trade opens they put in a lower bid to be at the front of the queue. This is an extremely dangerous thing to do for several reasons.
These bids more often than not are as fake as your granny's teeth. In the dying seconds before the market opens they will withdraw their sell or buy offer and there you are caught with your dick in your hand selling at the lower price or buying at a higher price than you wanted. I suspect that a lot of it is done with computers, as in the dying seconds things change so rapidly that I doubt humans can calculate the changes and make the bids in time.
Same goes with buying. Trying to play the market with these vipers before trade opens is a recipe for disaster. On top of which you have a completely different set of butt holes that play silly buggers trying to push the price up or down.
