I've only experienced a few consolidations but I don't recall any which behaved as forecast in the glossy promotional materials. Perhaps that is due to poorly timed CRs and other things. Or cyclical factors.
The era of free money sprayed around the market is definitely over. For now. I doubt the QE experiment will repeat, given the collateral damage it caused.
Seems the consolidations are just a natural and necessary part of the ASX lifecycle. Companies dilute into oblivion - some with good reason and others to keep the lights on and their pay packets flowing - and eventually the rubber band is stretched as far as it can go. And an opposite process must begin. Because with 5B SOI, or even 2-4B, the SP can end up frozen for a long time even on good news.
I'm interested to see what TMK SP does once they reach some milestones this year. Doubled my holding yesterday, and am looking forward to 2023.
