Technology Description proposed for the challenge *

The Worley proposal aims to recover industrial minerals from the existing tailings stream as saleable products utilising a novel combination of low risk and industry accepted mineral processing stages.

Our target outcome will be to divert approximately 25% of the current tailings stream into industrial minerals products for sale to third parties.

Tailings in this steam will be dewatered by over 50% prior to inclusion in the existing tailings management processes.

Alternate options including modifying the tailings physical characteristics to improve filterability to increase water recovery and allow drystacking of tailings will also be evaluated.
