My thoughts on these Dec 22 & Feb 23 expiring options are:
Why try to inflate the SP now so the “Sophisticated Investors” who created the massive pump and dump disaster during PWN’s previous CR can reap further profits through converted options?
Their actions (in part) I believe, decimated shareholders confidence and the SP has still not recovered.
Any money generated through these converted options will obviously boost the balance sheet but I believe this sum will be insignificant for PWN's bigger picture.
We all agree that a QGC/Shell Contract ANN will transform PWN and significantly raise the SP.
However, we also need to keep in mind that there may be a 1–2-year period before the plant’s fully operational and generating any revenue.
So, to capatilise on a contract announcement, significantly expand their operations and capacity further, I believe PWN will look to raise substantial capital, likely through another CR.
The difference this time (hopefully) will be that they bring in reputable investors who recognise the growth potential of PWN (now that their tech is commercialised).
Therefore, why convert almost 500mil options for 11mil when you could potentially raise significantly more capital once the SP is naturally higher and potentially with less share dilution?
Also, there are still 1.9c PWNAO options that expire in July & Dec 2024 ($5milworth) which Bahay himself holds over 52mil options.
Regarding the 2 recent Non-Executive Director appointments, we have:
1.Mr. Van Der Sluys – A highly experienced investment banker, who has played a pivotal role in ensuring the development and success of a number of substantial and recognised resource projects
2.Ms. Saridas – A results-driven finance executive with over 30 years of international experience across a broad range of industries including in oil and gas, mining, retail, infrastructure, property, and financial services
Combined, they bring in a wealth of experience and credible connections within the finance/banking sectors.
I wonder what their major contribution/s to PWN will be???
