Shell will be holding the reins on how much info gets out.
CSG waste is a touchy issue, especially at a time when gas prices have soared. They won't want to draw attention unless this goes ahead - wouldn't look good to make a noise about environmental goodness\commitment and then fail to follow through. As things stand, they could walk away or delay this without any fuss created.
