Back to the questions, briefly

1. Salt is an incredibly useful on its own and as a feedstock in the chemical industry. World annual salt production in 2021 is roughly 290 mt, with China alone producing 64 mt and Australia producing 13mt While I can not point to any marketing research (PWN may have done a preliminary scoping study, which would be commercially sensitive), my belief is, the salt that can be produced from QLD GSG, assuming it is a quality product, should have a ready market in Queensland. One benefit of the potential salt production of PWN is it is not weather dependent, unlike from evap ponds.








2. Not all evaporation ponds are banned. Queensland has saltworks producing salt via evap ponds. The banning of evap ponds for CSG water is a policy decision of the QLD DES.

3. I don't believe that we will get there. I believe the industry's desire to act responsibly (with a little nudge from the community) will see progress in addressing the salt issue.
