Happy to expand on that part - should have probably realised there were two parts to what I said. When I said that I preferred liquidity to just numbers and market caps I was referring to my checking number of shares on issue to ensure there was liquidity instead of just guaging the market cap or watching the number of trades per day as a guide to liquidity. The actual liquidity is often not indicated by either particularly if a stock has had no catalysts for some time.
