The advert space for online media channels can be an interesting space.
Alot of programmatic buying of advert space takes place which is sort of like ebay for advert slots in major channel timelines.
The seller is the operator who loads up via a media marketing partner onto a digital auction platform what channels are free and when and the media buyer bids for those channels and times according to what they want to get advertised or shown. If its prime time then normally a number of bidders punt to get the key ad slots available.
Advertising is a good income stream above what subscribers pay each month.
