    I wouldn't think they would get the results if this was the method of the trial.

    I would think they would still go through the existing best practice detection methods (proven methods) and then as an add-on they agree to donate their time for this trial.

    I would think because this is still a trial and not yet formally "proven" then it's no loss to the patient or trial participant that they don't get to see the results.

    Just my thoughts but I don't have experience in this particular area.
