A couple of Newcrest videos circa 2018. I don’t recall seeing these before. It seems clear that selective processing is part of their long term plan ( using various methods - particle sorting, bulk ore sorting, flotation, etc ).
They align with at @GMoney79 earlier comments on ESG and also comments on how the processing and the mine design is designed to suit the ore body type. NVA will be in effect balancing the needs of ESG and achieving economic extraction of gold.
NVA need also to balance startup costs. I think they will design the mine scheduling to minimise startup capex by ensuring earliest phases of the mine plan are higher grade and low pre-strip. We might then see use of ore sorters scaled up after pay-back.
