With the NASDAQ first day of trading, all the shares traded were well under the issue price of $6.92. That means that the underwriter, ThinkEquity got stuck with a chunk of shares that they are now dumping. The volume was 100,300 which is 22% of the DRS issued. Clearly, the parties involved had to do something to get the listing trading and this is the clean way. NVA will look after ThinkEquity in adjusting their fee to compensate for the trading loss.
All in all, This NASDAQ listing has not lived up to expectations but, it has given us a prospectus that gives us the frankest view of our company and we can use it to make our future decisions. For now, best we look at USGO and hope we get to or exceed their market cap.
