the market doesn't think $2500usd is high enough mate
going to need $2800usd +
at least $1500usd aisc margins
so say global avg aisc currently is around $1300usd. then throw $1500usd ontop. $2800usd. and that is just the start of peaking some interest. needs to be alot higher to see proper bullish inflows.
Miners will need to be paying like 3x divs higher then the cash rate.
gold will need to replicate what coal and lithium did over the past couple of years
current gold price is a complete nothing burger
the markets are forward looking and the market is not forward looking $2800-$3000usd anytime soon.
So we will need to actually see $2800-$3000usd
