    Not sure if this link has been posted, post is 2 years old so it’s probably advanced even further now. But this is something on the Ausenco site, makes for an interesting read. References a number of sites utilising the process in the gold industry. Perhaps someone with a little more understanding of the ore type can explain if Novas would fit the remit for this type of technology.

    looks interesting reading and shows perhaps why some brown sites don’t utilise the technology, based on the below

    “There are trials ongoing at existing operations that fit this mould, but Kroukamp said companies also need to factor in the existing infrastructure within this context.

    “If you have a brownfields site, then you cannot underfeed these big mills and the beneficiation and flotation plants going after it by retrofitting sorters up front and cutting their feedstocks by, say, half. You end up with inefficiencies in the mill, which are already sunk costs,” he said.


    Looks as though a recent SS included the Tomra ore sorters. Sorry it’s getting late and posting on my phone, hopefully the link works and I’m not misreading the study.
