Just a bit of context for you, Argyle produced around 90% of the pinks worldwide and probably 95% of Vivid pinks, I think around 0.01% of the mines volume (could be 0.001%?). Recently selling for over $1 million/ct for a polished high quality Vivid colour over 1ct.

Ellendale E9 pipe at its peak produced nearly 50% of the worlds supply of Fancy Yellow, over 10% of the volume were Fancy Yellow Gem quality. Most mines were less than 0.1% Fancy Yellow.
Polished prices for a 1ct Vivid of high quality may be in the $20-40K/ct, some very large stones have sold for over $100K/ct.

The Ellendale Yellows are highly sought after not only for there colour but also the consistency of Yellow and high yielding, this is why Tiffany's wanted them as they could make collections knowing that they would have the right stones. Zimmi stones from Sierra Leone are the only product that would out do Ellendale for colour, though less consistent.

As nice and highly sought after as they are they, will never replace the pink market as all mines produce Fancy Yellow, they are rare compared to Brown and White diamonds, but can be accessed to varying degrees throughout the world.
Still a very nice niche market that has continued upside!
