Another thing popped, and now my considered reason for price and volume action -which I thinkmore and more by folk in the know seeing the long game.
From the AFR this morning - the timing is right in terms of when TBN started to move:
" While the Darwin LNG plant is not currently exporting, shipments are due to resume once Santos’ Barossa gas project in the Timor Sea comes online in the September quarter." "Santos separately advised of a milestone at the Barossa project, reporting that the Singapore-built production ship to be used at the site has arrived and been connected to the field. It said first gas was still expected in the September quarter and that the partners had so far invested $US3.95 billion ($6.1 billion) in the project, in line with budget"
Darwin LNG is about to fire up and 100:1 says they will be looking for additional feedstock with Blacktip underperforming. Also - Santos being the front runner in getting Darwin LNG fired up clears regulatlory and logistic hurdles for TBN.
This is getting exciting.
