Its crazy. Looking at the major positives it makes no sense how people could be happier if the high did not occur.... but they would be.

Without the high they would be more diluted as shareholders.
Without the high the company would not have as much capital to see out the next few tough years where capital is becoming tough to raise.
The company (and therefore shareholders) would be at more risk to manipulation involved with seeking capital.
The company does not need to entertain joint ventures.
The list of benefits and reduced risk goes on due to the funding raised when the market was frothy.

But they would be happier...its mad.
Its greed.
Hindsight.
