Went to Ulaanbattar 12 years ago to check out AKM's coal deposits ( metallurgical coal) major rail problems in the NE corner of Mongolia
I dont remember major dramas except having to overnight in Bejing and a daylight flight, vast plains in between mountains , virtually no infastructure.
And still freezing cold in May , snow on the ground etc.
30 minutes out of Ulaanbaatar and your in a very cold verson of the outback.
I admire these guys drilling out there.
oh i forgot to mention UB is so polluted that i was happy to be back in Bejing.
