Mongolia MAY come off, it may not.
It will require time and patience- if you (or anyone else) chooses to remain a shareholder and wait for an outcome, that could be successful, or it might not.
To prematurely label it so very early in it's evolution is a shortcoming in my opinion, given the current status of progress- which is glacial- which is also par for the course in gas exploration in completely virgin discovery plays.
It MAY not suit your levels of patience, or investment timelines to wait out the time required and stay the journey.
That's fair enough. Good on you if you actually commit to your stance and exit post (we hope) a successful Grandis.
Bank some monies, buy that BMW- detach yourself from the burden of owning EXR shares and restore some balance.
Heck- I might even buy your shares.
But to keep harping on about Mongolia as if it's over, a dud, not going to be successful, or even less successful than (potentially) Grandis- is absolutely premature. We are just at the beginning of a long winded process, it's way too early to deduce success (or not) or how that manifests financially compared to the potential of Grandis.
Referencing Chinese experiences in Tanzania has no relevance whatsoever to the Chinese/Mongolia context - you clearly understand the interconnected relationship between those 2 countries given your initial investment into EXR based purely on the CBM play- Tanzania is a complete different circumstance.
Nomgon dewatering could take another 12 months- even longer + more wells- it might take 2 years- maybe more.
It MAY never produce levels to be deemed commercially viable.
But you- and us, will just have to wait to see (well- it'll just be us- you'll have departed).
Nomgon is just the first sub-basin we're flow testing.
Mongolia CBM has barely begun really- when you actually understand and appreciate just how embryonic our whole journey there is.
We have 30,000 sq klm to explore.
