It makes me so cross that Australian Govt agencies have not realised that gas production is the way to go. This has been going on for countless years. For every ton of gas produced, it reduces coal production almost two fold. The Australian Govt should be embarrassed to find themselves in this position. Gas production is paramount unless you want the lights out.

I am so pleased that the Australian Govt have finally realised this. Otherwise they have a huge power crisis in front of them. Neil Young has repeatedly outlined that gas will be needed until well after 2050.

And now in NZ we have the news tonight to turn off your power because " ruinables" ain't going to cut the mustard. This NZ Govt has shut down a beautiful gas prolific Taranaki and shut down the Marsden Point Refinery. This will be a disaster for NZ if world conflicts continue. NZ has very few days petroleum/ gas reserves. We are totally dependent on overseas imports which could be halted at any moment. This would render NZ bankrupt.

Let's hope the Taroom Trough can help the East Coast of Australia, and that these little ships from Indnonsia that service NZ can keep us supplied.
