Someone posted the other day an interesting line of thought concerning Origin Energy. Origin, as well as Shell and Santos amongst others, have significant activity in the Surat / Bowen basins and is the upstream operator for Australia Pacific LNG. Origin is responsible for developing Australia Pacific LNG's CSG fields and is responsible for the main transmission pipeline that transports gas to the LNG facility on Curtis Island near Gladstone. The other partners in Australia Pacific LNG are ConocoPhillips and Sinopec. Sinopec is actively engaged in CBM (CSG) in China and also launched the Inner Mongolia (China) Erdos Wind-Solar Green Hydrogen Project in Feb 2023 (only 230 kms from Nomgom).



Someone also alluded to Neil speaking with a South Korean company recently. Of course POSCO (S Korean steel maker and energy company) bought out Senex a couple of years ago (with Hancock). Interesting times.
