Next Investor has an interesting take on the current state of things..

The small end of town, highly speccy stocks WILL have their time in the sun again....and will shine gloriously....just like (yeah I'll mention it - yet again....Bitcoin and the wider crypto market).

All markets are cyclical- monies rotate in search of safety, yield, or alpha gains.

If you understand this- and appreciate that time and patience is of the essence, then- reading the tea leaves and foreseeing macro level opportunities then drilling down into the the "right" assets at the right times, with patiently deployed capital invested, you can prosper....with the caveat of course, that nothing is guaranteed and there's always risk involved- multiple levels of known and as yet unknown risk, and that generally (at least in my experience) it ALWAYS takes longer than you think, or want, to realise a good result.

Your risk appetite then determines the extent of your investment (and stomach for potential loss) - but hopefully results in good returns- potentially great returns, in time.

It sounds simple enough- and it really is- if you look at it through a macro lens and have at least an iota of knowledge about the industry/asset class you've invested in - not a poorly researched & miscomprehended myopic "must have immediate multiple x returns tomorrow!" lens
