I agree and disagree in respect of product, however, the concept of AGY is to produce a chemical signature for clients, almost certainly based on the deleterious elements left behind...they are looking for the client that does not want to refine again to meet there required standard, I have to assume this signature is different for every client. So, why produce a batch of product that may or may not be of the required signature or needs further refinement, that will not get us top $ for our product.. At the moment we don’t know if material is being processed, what we do know is that batch samples have been sent to potential OT partners for assessment. Our OT success depends on our ability to give the client what they want.....I for one can’t wait to taste that cake made with AGY lithium...
I used to own and run a large furniture manufacturing business, everyday I had someone ask me to make the same one that Harvey Norman has, but 50mm smaller or 4 doors instead of 3..... do you think my product had the same price tag as HN??, do you think it was sitting on the shelf Incase someone wanted it??....
I can almost guarantee the hydroxide from the plants will require either changes of process during, or refinement after the production process to meet the end user demands..

Yes yes. I/Weve been through this conversation before. Months ago and still today. When i raised the excact same issue back then with regards to purity and composition needing to siut a particular customers needs i would have been spat on if face to face with posters here. Yes those of you know who you are, And here now today these very conversations are around just that. Composition of purity.
So does that mean we will need to rely only having one O/T partner?. Will this business be bound up under their requirements ?
Surely battery grade is battery grade. How detrimental can .003% deleterous elements be ? AGY say they have a 500kg batch of BG. Is it 99.7, 99.8%?. It should be good enough to go into any Li battery.
But then i guess im like the most of us here. Not a chemical experts by any stretch of imagination.
The PEA mentions possible production and sale of concentrated by -products, or deleterous elements thereof.
Not sure how i feel about that.
Just remember or be aware. All AGY product testing and analysis has been conducted in house.
There has been NO confirmation by any independant lab or potential offtake partner to varify what AGY have told us of their achievements YET.
