We live in interesting times

Well Argonauts we are standing on the precipice of the event that we have all been waiting for – transition to Lithium producer. Confidence is high.

AGY has consistently stuck to its plans and stated first production starts March 2018. They still confidently state on twitter that nothing has changed “concentrating lithium brine, on schedule for process test works next month & then LCE production.”

As the share price sits at a low 29 cents (and possibly might even dip lower, as those impatient or feel there is time to take a quick excursion to another jumper, sell into the hands of accumulators) we need to contemplate what’s about to happen…

Global mining conference this weekend
AGY executives Chairman Alex Molyneux, Chief Executive Jerko Zuvela (and possibly chief lithium brewer Pablo Alurralde) are packing clean underwear and toothbrushes and boarding the plane to Florida to present at the BMO Global Metals & Mining Conference. one of the largest metals and mining conferences in the world. Argonauts note: Company presentations accessible via Webcast.

The timing for AGY is impeccable being right on the transition from start-up to first production. The audience will include large investment funds and instos scoping for the next big thing in the resource space. Lithium is hot. The conference starts Sunday.

With the planets in such alignment, one can’t help feel that AGY will use this conference as a launching platform for an exciting transition phase. Pure speculation on my behalf.

Plant commissioning
AGY reported recently taking on 15 new employees to work in Argentina at their production facilities, clearly gearing-up for test works and lithium output. We should anticipate an announcement soon advising that the Stage 1 Pilot plant has been commissioned.

JORC Resource estimate
The final drill hole R6 (200 metres) possibly has been completed by now and samples sent off to the lab. The company will shortly release the results in the form of a JORC resource estimate and possibly PEA/Scoping Study or FS Reserve. Wonder if they fast tracked it to present at the conference? They would need to release it on the ASX first or simultaneously.

BG Lithium
First production runs from the new pilot plant should confirm BG Lithium.

Other potential announcements
77.5% ownership of Puna Mining, Stage 3 pond works, possible off-take agreement.

Whatever happens to the share price today is largely irrelevant.
We’ve come this far folks and we are about to hit pay-dirt.
