Chemistry is difficult and there is lots of spookiness with regard to Magnesium levels and other impurities.

There's lots of stories of companies that toughed it out trying to make it work, particularly trying to reaching Battery Grade.

Many traditionalists understand hard rock better.

In addition, AGY has been very unconventional in their development strategy (trail blazing a dig first, ask questions later - "fast track" approach) - many would see that as risky.

Before the Dow took a nose dive, AGY was viewed with more tolerance and their innovative approach was a strength, now with the market looking at everything with sh*t coloured glasses, innovation = risk.

And, ASN would have been an "I told you so" moment.
