Think about it - if you had a bucket full of water and took a cup and put it in the middle of bucket of water and dunked it under and removed that water. What happens to the hole in the middle? That’s right - the rest of the water rushes in to fill the void and the level in the bucket decreases. Same thing with a the Salar - Replenishment. Its not rocket science.
