Agree, have seen panic selling in the past and have seen the face of regret on people once the emotional fear mongering lapses... the falling knife analogy is often cited when you have 30-40% reductions rapidly on open, but people need to understand the difference between a problem and hyped up expectations not being met yesterday.
Comes back to DYOR, if you understand why you are in or out of a stock, you will know when to call it quits or buy back in.
GLTA and hopefully not too many small fish getting caught out here, I expect this to recover sooner rather than later
