Are people aware there is already a lithium producer with a 50ktpa plant in the Rincon? They are unable to produce battery grade. There isn't much out there about them, but used to be part of "ADY". Things I know about this plant are is it was expensive and the commissioning time blew out. They are also going to build another plant of half the size. I only learnt about this place maybe 1 - 2 month ago and sold 3/4 of my holdings as I figured it will be exactly the same for AGY. Market Cap Vs the risk is huge. So i figured there is still headwinds for AGY that will present buying opportunities even if they had announced battery grade yesterday. AGY haven't even priced up a feasible plant construction yet. So stage production is at least 3 years away.

They don't have Pablo though. There are very few lithium experts out there doing what he does. It's a simple equation - hero if he produces, Disallowed salesman if he doesn't.

So When I bought AGY a year ago, announcing Battery Grade Lithium was to be a huge milestone. A golden rule of investing is to buy a stock with milestones in mind. When an announcement is made contrary to the milestone, sell that day. That's how you get off a sinking ship. So I sold the rest of my holding yesterday and I am happy enough. You can't justify it with today's announcement either. Only buy back in once they announce battery grade. That's my tip. And look closely for construction timelines as it could be worth waiting longer before re-entering.

Enirgi do NOT have a 50ktpa plant. They have a DXP pilot plant which I believe hasn’t worked. They will need to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to make a full scale 50ktpa DXP
