Its still a chance to drop this quarter, but its not a necessity in my eyes.History shows that management have ticked EVERY box so far, and in my view will continue to do so. Management put target dates out there to give themselves something to strive for and keep them honest; not as a be all and end all deadline that, if it doesn't get hit, would be detrimental to the company's future.

I don't think anyone disagrees with this. However I do agree that if its looking like 3rd parties will push targets out, then an update with this explanation would be better than silence and conspiracy theories.
